Jesse would be better pick out of the two. There are so many fabulous looking actors/models it makes it difficult to choose …. decisions, decisions…. an actor that has little spotlight would also be another route to go.
AGREED on the so many choices!! Maybe they could have 2 or 3 versions of the movie – one for each of our top three choices – then you go to the movie that has YOUR Christian!! LOL!

I want Jessie to play CG, I want an unknown to play the roll so I don’t have to think of any other character than CG, he can make me believe it’s him and only him. Jessie is Christian Grey and know one else would even come close, he’s 110% believable.

Paul Walker all the way, the eyes are Christians eyes and that is gonna be the most important thing to get right with this role for it to work

I dont think Paul Walker is in his 40s, I think he is about 35, but he looks younger, and soooo sexy!
Matt Bomer is who I thought of the whole time (both times) I was reading the series. He is gorgeous, delicious in a suit, and completely yummy in jeans and a tee. He is just sex on legs. I don’t have a problem with him being an established actor. I’ve seen him in Magic Mike and did not see any of Neal Caffrey in him. He assumes the characters he plays and does it very well.

What about Mr. Pavelka’s acting talent for such a complex role? I never see that mentioned. This role requires much more than just a look. I just don’t see a major Hollywood studio casting someone in a role of this magnitude that is basically known as a fitness instructor with a few bit roles. I think there are others who are more realistically suited for the role when it comes to acting talent and looks.
I so agree with everything you just said. When Jesse is mentioned, its all about, he LOOKS exactly how Christian is described etc. I never see anyone mention his acting experience, because he really doesn’t have any. I have been saying that all along. Jesse is OK looking to me. But this is to big of a phenomenon to choose an actor without acting experience. Christian is a complex character that blows hot & cold in an instant, is controlling, dominant, pained, angry, sweet, loving & a sex maniac. It will take an experienced actor to jump from one feeling/attitude to the next. I myself prefer Henry Cavill, but ALL the other actors always listed in the top 5, are more suited for the role based on experience who also have the look. Choosing an actor without that experience would be movie suicide & laughable.
Man, you rocked that answer!!!! I’ve always said, if I think the actor isn’t perfect based on what Christian is in MY head, I won’t be seeing. Don’t want the movie to taint the Christian I have in my head!

Ladies! Ladies! Yes! Yes! Jessie is beautiful but I have to say that Jennifer has a really good point! We don’t know his acting ability and I am sure the talent people know their business enough to make sure they do the right thing! We are Ian Somerhalder fans as well although I was hoping a “Thoughtless” series movie would come out and he would be Kellan! Yummmmm
